But yes, Okoye seems on the verge of breaking through.. largely because of what Aaron seems to be setting up with Agents of Wakanda.

Vibraxasusarious (or however you spell that confusing ass code name) is the black Gon, but that wouldn't be until black panther 2.. i'm tryna tell ya. They gon cast him young, him and QDJ

Only hope is Nunakia to make it back, Shuri.. I dunno she seems like maybe it's for the best that she loses those vaguely explained powers that were a rip off KoTD. It's kinda funny though that Coates whole little arc with got wasted so soon after established but whatever. It was a dumb lazy power anyways. Okoye I think is going to blow up being in agents of Wakanda and the event possibly

I think the Shuri character is a mess. She doesn't have a proper foothold in the larger 616, whereas with Okoye it is pretty clear where she stands or where she's heading as new top cop/director of the world.

Shuri is still where she was 8 years ago as the "lil homie" (relative to T'Challa) who doesn't really appear or matter in anything bc it's still the same narrative of what to do with her... and so since whatsherface is tasked with figuring that out in the solo series, Aaron so far has just ignored the character completely in his BP-led Avengers title.

And reviatilized/MCU lookin Daniel Kaluuya and Winston Duke would've been great Wakanda supporting cast characters to have popping up in the background for Aaron's Avengers and other Marvel books, but too bad their characters are still dead or inactive bc the people at marvel lack vision.

They basically a year late, bc if nuNakia and symbioteErik make it over to the 616, it likely wouldn't be until issue 11 or 12... which means it'll be well over a YEAR since the movie came out before any of the popular movie characters outside of Danai can even start assimilating into the 616! And that's not even bringing up Daniel and Winston!

I imagine she will be integrated into the champions esque young heroes but... why would former queen of Wakanda hang around 14 year olds... and what is her niche when she is surrounded by Moon Girl and RiRi? And hell, Valerie is back so, slot her in there to?

Her old niche was diet T'challa and existed to allow T'challa to do superhero stuff without anyone going, "why is a king...."

Now her niche will be... diet age confused RiRi?

Is that an upgrade?

He doesn't even need fixed! they've been friends in the past. It would take 3 issues to fix that ****. take away the monkey suit and give him a wood club stick and have him bark at people. DONE!

Have the Midnight Angels sacrifice themselves to save T'challa, which brings the Doras back in the fold (under Okoye). M'baku reclaims the Jabari lands as the rightful queen, QDJ, gives it to him for helping T'challa, and they are relunctant frenemies with T'challa.

Boom.

Nope, not at all. She's screwed.

We need to find a comparable character (a literal princess living the priviledged life) to see how they're depicted in the greater sandbox of a shared universe. She does feel a bit redundant with Riri, which is why we cursed Bendis the day he literally jacked the idea of MCU Shuri and dubbed her "Riri" to troll us all.

She's in that bad age range where she's older than Miles, Kamala, Riri, and Valeria (who all seem age-comparable with MCU Shuri)... and may even be older than kate bishop/america chavez/spidergwen...

So unless she creates her own version of Uncanny W-Force (W for Wakanda) in which she has a team of kate, america, gwen, QDJ, N'Kano, and other young adults who basically become the Young Justice of the Marvel Universe, doing stealth missions that may not always be in alignment with what big bro and the Avengers want...?

Otherwise she'll just remain a glorified supporting cast member in that never ending cycle of "bbbb-but when can she become BP? "

I completely forgot Blade was born in a London whorehouse because his momma was a literal whore who got knocked up by some random client. That's one hell of an origin story that was sure to be a hit with the kids. Not sure why Wesley decided to change it tho...

Wesley Snipes is to Blade, what Reginald Hudlin was to Black Panther.

Pure synergistic forward momentum that threatened an established status quo, and consequently, all the more hated for it.

Shuri.. hmm. I dunno Nnedi basically deaged her to around 16-18 given her attitude now. She could maybe show up in Agents of Wakanda. Or she could form her own team, grab Kasper, nunakia, Qdj and some other people (maybe Akili the HZ and MVP of S1 of BP) and have some sort of task force.. but her being the tech support or the Q for MU Tchalla doesn't make much sense because he has been established as more then capable of doing it in his free time, MCU Tchalla doesn't have the time to do it so seeing him as a genius in his own right but let's Shuri handle that works.

As for? Yeah take the gorilla suit away. Way outdated and offensive, give him the MCU make over.

Yeah MA go bye bye, give them the M'Baku treatment when morlun tore through Wakanda, (Okoye goes "it's time to reunite the order, we are the king's guards and the fangs of Wakanda" or some isht) at this point Qdj isn't really even there so let her ride with Shuri as they can play off each other. M'Baku and Tchalla homies again, taku comes out of the techno jungle to say hey (so Tchalla has some of his boys back) and nunakia joins the Dam as well on some MCU Nakia status

Edit: Actually for Shuri, since in Hickmans run she reintroduced the HZ, let her lead them as the new White wolf, let her carry on missiond that require an elite task force, let's her have a place to go and use her tech genius to aid her team, and gets her out into the world to protect Wakandan interests especially since the world is clear clenching their butts bow that T'Challa is leader of the Avengers. Her team may also team up with agents of Wakanda from time to time
