Yeah, it's definitely good for Blade fans and for fans who just want a good action/suspense book to read.

But your right we don't see him create a whole lot, but given what he does in priest run, it's clear that he is the brain behind it and driving force. Especially since we don't really see Wakandan scientist really at work

Wakanda due to it's isolationist nature would not have those same pitfalls of essentially allowing corporations to take over the government. This is mainly bc the government by all accounts has control of it's natural resources and uses them for the benefit of it's population in a socialistic manner.
It goes far back than that:

The techno-jungle? Which i guess is wakandan now and not his. Of course, we have not seen or heard of it for quite a while.

Its most likely still his. They don't really start experimenting with Vb until his mother starts, so most likely he still played a big part in its construction. It got a cameo in "Rise"

Coogler working on another comic series.

XCLUSIVE: Legendary has made a deal with Black Panther and Creed director Ryan Coogler to produce the comic book series adaptation Bitter Root, alongside Zinzi Evans and Sev Ohanian. They will spearhead the development of a screen adaptation of the Image Comics series created by David F. Walker & Sanford Greene and indie veteran Chuck Brown.

    Image Comics
Set during the vibrant Harlem Renaissance of 1924, Bitter Root focuses on a fractured family of once-great monster hunters who must face an unimaginable evil that descends upon New York City. For generations, the Sangeryes have hunted and cured those infected by a supernatural force that feeds off the prejudice of the era, transforming human beings into hideous monsters. But their heyday has faded and with most of the family dead, and the surviving Sangeryes at odds between saving or killing these creatures, the remaining Sangeryes must overcome the wounds of the past in the hopes of thwarting the invasion.

I get the feeling he's going to be done with the MCU after the next film. Just think creatively he has other interests. How much creative freedom he gets on BP2 will truly tell the tale.

Finding a Coogler replacement after the second movie may prove to be difficult.

Well that might just have to be accepted.

Coolger set that bar too high.

    3 Oscars
    Billion Dollar box office
Panther trades sales sky rocketed for more than a year
We are still getting Panther merchandise
What is left to prove with Panther?

Marvel is not going to let him walk. If it means more creative freedom-you do it. If he wants to do say Night Trasher-who is going to say no?

In Pantherish news- Mr Coates has a new book out called Water Dancer-his first fiction book. It's also an Oprah Club book.
It's already number one at Amazon.

Interesting in the reviews and interviews for the book-they NEVER mention Coates is writing Cap America. Only Panther.

The one thing I didn't think about was the Feige Star Wars movie. Feige loved Creed and thought Black Panther was the best MCU movie they made. If not the Russos he might target Coogler for that Star Wars flick (keeping him in the Disney family and maybe setting up another Black Panther film)

I'm just curious if they'll let him extend his visual style. Judging by Creed/Fruitvale he can make a movie *look* like Joker or Logan and no it doesn't have to be R rated. I really think the best looking version of an MCU/Coogler movie would probably be an Enemy of the State kind of film.

I use to want F. Gary Gray (coming off of Straight Outta Compton) but after seeing his last couple of films...

Barry Jenkins or Dee Rees would be high caliber directors if they want to go that route.
