I'm not one of those people, kn fact, like mentioned here a fee pages back, Hudlin's version made sense and becoming BP was not only especial, but really was a good move for the character to develop and complete her arc. African Paris Hilton was not a good look.

I don't want Shuri to take over in the mcu because she is different thrn thr Comics and Tchalla should be able to be treated like other heroes, however if it was done in an organic way then I would be okay with it. I'm not however, on that BS that some folks had of dysfunction after BP dropped and pushing Shuri to be BP for the sake of pitting Black menvs Black women alm under the guise of comic synergy

I know you want that Shuri shine as well and I think she should get it. Her, Okoye and Nakia are the true OGs and they should all be shining. Shuri should be getting that push to become her own character. Theres room for both of them. But they need to commit to pushing her

I think they are pushing her. Its just "we"(I'm guessing most of us are male and older than 20) are not the intended audience. I think there needs to be more Shuri dolls though. If this were the 80s/early 90s, she'd have her own action figure with matching lab. lol

But maybe the toy market isn't what it used to be.

Secondly, the film provides a relief for Black women, who are often still scapegoated in the media as either strong or long-suffering stereotypes who are only objects for male pain

It can be done. Just not with people like Coates or Nnedi. You need people who actually give a isht about the character and want to elevate them without having some hidden agenda.

But it's bot surprising. These people were going on and on about bot being portrayed as stereotypes and wanting to see black excellence, they get it in BP and Immediately make calls for dysfunction and Coates story to be adapted, how cool it would be if Shuri fought Tchalla for the title and won, how cool it would be if Nakia became malice in favor of Storm etc etc. Instead of celebrating just how huge BP is.

But all that is still drowned out by all the good so whatever I guess

I'd like to see Windeagle be a more serious threat (that BP can handle with relative ease but may be a problem for his subordinates). A henchmen of someone more prominent but not an simple writeoff. A current merc who was a part of the same military unit as Falcon.

Kinda lost me a little bit there my man? I am not sure what you mean. Seems a bit contradictory.


His concept is so ridiculous, similar to Batroc, that I don't see him being anymore than a merc at best.

The thing about a similar unit to Falcon is genius though.

batroc, crossbones, weakened surtur, jotun monster (or lauffey for odin), kronan, nigerian mooks, koruth, battery monster thing, hydra/von strucker,

aka opening action sequence that shows off the hero, usually feature some kinda recognizable villain from the comics for an easter egg for the fans because he will get no real depth, who's real purpose is to get wrecked by the hero and make everyone in the theater excited about it

I think Ross should be included especially if the next movie is Wakanda vs The World/USA.
