Yeah, I think the bigger question will be whether they keep the Avengers branding going or go for something different, but I can see them wanting to keep the name around so they can inevitably do "Avengers vs. X-Men" once they work that out.

Plus whoever forms that team will probably just be typical Avengers characters whether they call it Avengers or not.

The Avengers are billion dollar franchise, so I have trouble imagining them NOT wanting to keep the brand around.

For what it's worth in the MCU Fury did name the Avengers Initiative after that photo of Carol, so as long as she and Fury are around they do have legit claim to the name.

Because of the way its drawn, I think I could say that its a different suit than the Civil War one. Maybe the reason he made the CW one was to have something thicker from when he was shot 10 years prior. So even a Vb bullet(lol) wouldn't get through.

For the first time in a long time, I'm really anticipating what the future movies will be during comic con.

It's exciting because black panther is the best (upper echelon). So you know his involvement and character protection is gonna be more Hickman, Ewing, and '19 Aaron than Bendis, Loeb, and '12 Aaron. It's more fun when your favorite character is guaranteed some

The power level they gave Danvers also raises interesting questions about future teams and threats. They probably got 4 or 5 years before the next Avengers movie, so it'll probably be a lot of world building while using the not-quiet solo movie capable characters for the tv shows.

Ultimates by 2022 makes a lot of sense, even if Strange and Valkyrie replace Adam and Monica... or if they really want to wait for CM 2 to setup a means for Monica to get her powers and for America Chavez to be introduced. Ultimates, X-Men, F4, Externals, hell even the Illuminati or Defenders.. those ensemble cast/team films + the last round of solo films give a lot of building blocks to work with.

Don't think they even need 'Avengers' anymore except to capitalize off the nostalgia if they bring it back in 2025 or something, but who knows. I do figure it'll be nothing but expansions and building up these other team brands after End Game

I think the Ultimates should be a new label too. It's a good way to signify a new era of heroes and free characters like Strange, CM and BP from being held to the inflated and nostalgic standards of the Avengers. Problem is for me I still want to see these guys be referred to as Avengers, and even though it's likely Stark and/or Rogers are going, I'd love for them to interact with each other as Avengers.

I also want my Illuminati because with the Disney/Fox deal it's closer to happening (with except Black Bolt and maybe Namor) and that kinda doesn't work without the Avengers name I guess.

I haven't seen CM yet but from what I've read she's kinda in the same territory Cap was in TFA character wise. What made Cap different and better was that the Russos started slowly deconstructing him by throwing him into a morally grey world and messing with everything he loved from his previous idealistic life. Whedon also gave him a "I know I'm better than you" attitude. I think they should do the same thing for CM, and slowly set up Civil War II with Doctor Strange on the opposing side. I think BP then should either be neutral and/or be on Carol's side until he turns his back on her like in the comics.

That's a sweet cover! What needs to be shown now is them actually coming in on a Wakandan doomsday Panther for real to take back earth now. Anything less will be unacceptable
