All we got left on that side is an Avengers book he really isn't a big part of at the moment

Don't get your hopes up too soon.

There's been progress. We know how and why he got there, and why the inital Wakandans left in the first place. We know what happened to the gods. He's got his memory back, and we know the plan to take out the Emperor. All that's left is executing that plan, and him going home.

I think Hickman just sort of got his wires crossed, and editorial didn't fix it.

Alpha Flight was Carols thing, but because her and T'Challa were supposed to be on the same team after Secret Wars he sort of combined Alpha Flight with Wakanda even though they had absolutely nothing to do with each other. The writers of the CM and BP books didn't know he was going to do that, so nothing came out of it.

That said, Alpha Flight can simply be taken literally as their first flight (even though it wasn't technically their first) rather than having it linked to Carols thing.

Shuri 1 tells us he went into space, but it never said why he went into space. It also didn't mention the previous Wakandans that were sent out into space in search of Vibranium. Shuri 1 was a teaser, but this actually provided answers as to what actually happened and why.

But we already knew Wakandans were sent into space. It's at the beginning of every issue. They why doesnt really matter. It might be shocking if we didnt already know the empire had its origins with Earth Wakandans.

The biggest question is did Tchalla get shot into the future. Or did the Wakandans get sent to the past and we are in the present.

Like I said they threw a good storyline away. Searching for Vibranium in space could have been a 6-10 mini series. Encountering didnt aliens and adventurers along the way. If you want to go crazy, searching for Vibranium could be Marvels version of "One Piece"

They why is the progress of the story. First we find out what happened, then we find out why. There were questions, and now we have answers. The other aspect of progress of course is beating the bad guy... and we seem to have an idea of exactly how they are going to at least TRY and do that.

The still a few questions left, as far as time goes but I suspect they won't resolve that until the end when they send him back in time (or whatever they do).

As far as the search for vibranium goes... there's still a story there to tell if someone else wants to tell it. The vibranium is obviously still out there, and Coates never really addresses the orign of it or where it's from. He merely had T'Challa decide to begin the search for answers, which he or someone else down the line can pick up on down the line if they wish. Assuming anyone does, as again it's been decades and no one has ever really touched the question.

It would be quite stupid to exclude him regardless of the popularity the movie brought.

T'Challa IS a famous Avenger and has been in quite a number of Marvel games.

I think everyone that's a movie character will be included. Which isn't to say BP will necessarily have a big part or be the focus or anything... but I think he'll be in there.

I don't even know what that game is going to be about. It seems like it's been rumored to be everything from a single-player game to The Division with Avengers.

The revelation that he was lookin gfor vibranium doesn't even change the current story at all.

All the matters is that he went into space, got sucked into some sort of wormhole, and ended up where he is now. And he is missing in "normal" Wakanda. Which was covered in 3 pages of Shuri 1.

So T'challa was lookin gfor vibranium source. Cool. How does that change the current story? It doesn't. It is a "ok neat" fact. And that is all. Definitely not some huge reveal to soak up a whole issue and not advancing the plot at all.

Him looking for vibranium only changes the story IF he found it. He didnt. He got sucked into a different story. So it is a non issue.

It's only a non issue if the matter of vibranium is dropped never to be seen again.

People said the same thing about the Wakandan gods, and they showed up in the next story arc. Just because the vibranium question hasn't been resolved now doesn't mean it won't later. There are obvious reasons he's being side tracked in his search for vibranium. But that doesn't mean the reasons he wants to find it won't still apply after the current story is over.

That's what I would of done. Made it a mini that then lead into a event. Tchalla finds the origin of VB. The planet is dying as the inhabitants use vb as their main source for everything, they learn the largest deposite left is in Wakanda. Insert some plot to use said vb to use to sustain themselves and then forcibly remove people from earth so they can take over. They sport crazy vb tech that even makes Tchalla somewhat blush given the capabilities. Wakanda leads the charge against repelling the invading force
