And that's true for MOST male comic book characters. Fair or not, there's still a little bit of stigma in society over males hitting women. You can mostly get away from it now, but it's something that's often done selectively.

But in a world like marvel where you have female characters walking around capable benchressing freight trains, it's definaely outdated.
