It's never been mentioned, but even if Wakandan soldiers did have such training it doesn't necessarily equate to immunity, as we see with SHIELD agents. If a writer decides the mind control can overcome the red shirts training, then it can. But because no such training was ever mentioned or shown, Spencer didn't even need to go that far.
I repeat. AIM redshirts did better against Faustus than the Wakandan military. And Sunspot hadn't been in charge THAT long.

Hand signals are often used on the field. There are also pre-arranged plans for various scenarios.

The issue in these instances is that Faust and co. used techniques that should have already had counter-measures in place. Instead of showing a networks of telepaths working in tandem to breech Wakandan defenses i.e. attacking one target to weaken the defenses.

Except if you look at the panels hodari doesn't have a communication device on even and how does Faustus explain how he got to them? "Good old-fashioned western capitalism" whatever the hell that even means. With equates to PIS. Couldn't be bothered to actually show how he did it in a logical way. It's vague isht that shows Spencer just needed a handwave which makes it all the more ridiculous

I don’t think Coates likes Okoye much tbh. We know she’s the ultimate ally to T’Challa but Coates probably thinks she’s too submissive to kingly authority. She can joke with the king and even express opposition to his ideas but when a decision is made she does her job without hesitation.

In the MCU she was about to lead Wakanda into a near-suicidal war because she was loyal to the throne no matter who was in charge. I think Coates probably looks at her as lacking in agency which is why it couldn’t be her who led the Dora rebellion. If we actually saw her interact with the Midnight Angels they’d probably call her a sellout. Okoye represents Wakandan unity, which Coates doesn’t seem interested in promoting.

    Sorry?
Aim has red shirts with better telepathic defenses. Better thsn shields at least. And better than Wakandas, if Wakandan miliarty have such training.

Guess that training with Xavier paid off.

I wouldn't even say she is submissive necessarily. She's just his ride or die down since day 1 chick. I've said it before, I wouldn't even mind if she became his LI because you know she wouldn't pull the isht we have seen Storm pull

They would play off of each other well. But I think they’re better off as friends.

You’re right but Coates probably doesn’t see it that way. Okoye being 100% devoted to the throne is a great character trait imo and it allows her to be one of BP’s closest advisors. I’m not opposed to her being the main LI but I’d rather a writer just use Nakia or revamp Princess Zanda as his Catwoman.

Yeah, I'm all for her being BP's most trusted advisor and someone he can truly rely on. I'd rather them not have a romantic relationship.

To me, having Okoye as a love interest would be kind of weird because it's a relationship where one technially has complete authority over the other. The upsode of a non-Wakandan dating T'Challa is they don't have that dynamic where T'Challa can sort of order his girlfriend/wife around. Maybe it's just me, that that sort of imbalance givnes off a sort of weird dynamic.

Someone like Coates Nakia or Zanda come off more as equals in the relationship. That seems a bit more normal to me.

I don't think they need to be nor should it be pushed, but im jist saying she would make a good LI imo.

That being said I kike their dynamic now and it doesn't need to change. Zanda could work too, Nakia I personally think is kinda ruined until a new writer breathes new life into her

There are also standard enhanced reality eye wear that are on the battlefields around the world right now. And not even sure how long auch things have been in use in the comics. Suspension of disbelief, indeed. The real world tech has caught up to comics. Needs to be taken to the next level for me to really care anymore. Maybe BO in space? Oh, wait ( eye roll).
Reality is for those who are afraid of science fiction.

Knowing Coates he'll have NuM'Baku and Okoye hook up.
