Yeah, that was a rather disgraceful way for him to go out. Hmm, come to think of it, the new Nighthawk in the new Squadron Supreme of America . . . sooner or later, there's gonna be a major confrontation between the Squadron Supreme of America and the Avengers and/or the Agents of Wakanda. Black Panther vs. Nighthawk would be a great one-on-one to see in the midst of that.

Killing off Kyle to give the identitly to Tilda really was a waste. If they at least did something with Tilda after giving her the mantle, I could almost buy it. Almost. But after killing off Kyle to give Tilda the name I'm not entirely sure she has appeared since Secret Empire. So really what was the point, aside from maybe trying make a black lives matter storyline out of Secret Empire. But the whole thing was just stupid.

As far as Nighthawk goes... typically his opposide in the Avengers is Captain America when the teams throw down. But BLack Panther I think is a better approximation. I definately hope we see that fight at some point in the story. T'Challa did fight the Batman analogue in the Great Society back in Hickmans run. That was kinda cool.

Assuming some sort of image inducer isn't being used (and with a scientist like Tilda I suppose that's possible), it looks like a white male. The Defenders Kyle Richmand is probably the most obvious guess.

Actually, now that I think about it, having someone try to resurrect Killmonger (who may or may not come back willingly) using the Altar would be a great way to bring Jericho Drumm into the picture.
