but the same guy is trying to play both sides and tell jean and scott fans to keep reading and that they'll be happy by the end, so who knows. I think he just wants everyone to buy his story at the end of the day lol

I love Jean but honestly i like Nova more has an irredimable villain. I would have prefered Jean to kick her ass on a telephatic duel

i too think jean should have just kicked her ass in a duel.
but my question was more about the morality of GIVING Empathy

That's very controversial. If that emphaty comes from a device, isn't that a form of mind control?

Yes, it's freaky as hell. In essence all telepaths are freaky as hell. It's like a state of surveillance. Watch a Black Mirror episode about the human mind, and you'll never think of a telepath the same way again.

Morality gets thrown out the window when you deal with a homicidal maniac like Nova. Any punishment or action taken towards her is justifed. I dont agree with what Jean did as Nova deserved death. I didnt expect Jean to issue it but she should have been apprehended and sentenced to death by the authorities as she was an international terrorist. What Jean did was unsatisfactory given all Nova had done

the scene left a very bad taste in my mouth.
It seemed to me liked the authors were trying to show how great Jean is by having here reform nova instead of fighting her.
Yet the it obviously looks like mind control. There is no sugar coating it.
Using telepathic ability to manipulate someone is wrong.

Its not much different than what she, Emma and Xavier did in New X-men, placing Nova in Stuff and rewriting her conscience as Ernst

The scene was played in such a way that we(the readers) were supposed to praise Jean for Reforming nova
Yet her actions hardly deserved praise.

Can your mention which issue it happened or some context.
I am not aware of the new x men scene you are refering to.

Well stopping Nova deserves praise, i'm just saying i would have prefered to be through a battle rather than a plot device.

I think at the end of the day Taylor was well intended but a feat as reforming Nova would need it's own book

Stopping nova would have been hauling her to prison not brainwashing her.

    I partially agree with that
but we don't know what happened to Nova after Red, maybe that happened. It depends on the next writer.
