Why x-23? Just curious, not disagreeing.

I think they are going to pick the most staple characters. If this were at any other time I’d say we may get a few wild cards but this game, in a way, is setting the table for what mutants COULD play the biggest roles in the mcu. (I know this isn’t mcu, but when you look at the characters revealed it’s virtually a spitting image of the mcu, roster wise).

I would’ve agreed pre-merger, but I don’t think any character choices from fox movie successes will carry over whatsoever, except maybe Deadpool. Just my opinion though.

Yes, unfortunately.

Funny thing is, what I was expecting from the next relaunch was TAS mimicking, so the fact that it's not the awful Jim Lee look is a plus.

Even if the teaser looks intentionally boring, at least there's no TAS Jean costume.

And I like this look for her in general.

Logan made too much money to be truly ignored in the merger. I think a lot of aspects of it will carry over, even if the dystopian timeline is scrapped.

Maybe it's for the best. Sometimes a step back is needed to go forward.

Maybe Jean needs to go back to her roots and redefine who she is. A lot of characters would benefit from this.

Jean always knew who she was. I don't see the point

I'd say she is a lock for later inclusion myself. The character is popular, plus she would be relatively easy to code for a game. She would probably be a faster version of Logan using a reskinned model for a different character, with just enough unique abilities (or borrowed and reskinned from a 3rd source) to make her play unique. It almost makes less sense to not do it than to do it.

The only time I remember Hickman writing Jean was in the Ultimate Universe. Though I’m not sure what is happening in these new books.

It’s funny because they use to say Jean can’t come back from the dead because of her history/baggage and now they keep going back or referring back to her history/baggage.

I saw it. I also see Jean Grey in her old Marvel Girl uniform and in her Dark Phoenix form. The possibilities have me very excited.
