Looovee it. The only thing I hate about this costume design is the thinning of the blue as it reaches her 'parts'. Reminiscent of the 1990s swimsuits...

And as for Emma, i always find her sarcasm and personality very entertaining, and her exchange with jean is just delicious. Emma is not my favorite but I love her character.

I don't like that part either, that's why the X-men Red costume is an improvement.

The thong is the aspect that brings down the 90s suit;

Nice! The only thing that ruins it is when they spell "Phoenix" wrong. I do not know why people can't seem to spell it correctly.

This costume reminds me of one I believe Satanna wore in the 1970's.

This costume is godly, is far from her best designed costume but it is the one that feels higher. Like she has truly become one with the Phoenix.

While I did love Jean being a leader I don't mind if she doesn't stay a field leader. She was great in X-men Red but in Disassembled she mainly floated around and ordered others. She didn't always fight even when it would have made sense for her to (for example fighting the dinosaurs). Even in Red sometimes she just floated around barking orders instead of fighting (ie the fight with the Sentinel). I want to see Jean doing something. She has one of the strongest powers! I'm conflicted. I think Jean will be a leader but I'm not sure if being a field leader is the right thing for her.

I also agree about Emma. They worked well in Dennis Hopeless' Jean Grey solo and I would love to see them work together again. I think there is a mutual respect between them though they will never be best friends. Emma knows Jean is powerful and Jean knows Emma is a force of nature. They also know they care about mutants, and their students. They both love Scott and both have had traumatic experiences with the Phoenix. They have too much in common while still being very different and distinct characters.

Fixed that for you since we all know who the real powerhouse is. BTW- no one challenges Jean with her (as originally intended) Phoenix mutation. Cuz that’s what it is. Retcons be damned. Emma only held a fifth of that power and suffered no trauma other than being the usual b!tch that she is.
