The shade of it all.You can’t go home again. Although Phoenix-Jean wanted to put her Dark Phoenix days behind her, the Shi’ar had other ideas. To prepare for her trial by combat, Phoenix chose to wear the classic Marvel Girl uniform. It’s a lovely Silver Age costume, but the exposed legs aren’t very combat friendly. This was more of a holdover from Jean’s early days, before she truly found the power inside of herself.

I think that maybe Marvel could have redesigned the Marvel girl costume. They did for Age of X-man, there is also this desing posted a few pages ago that looked good.

This is beautiful. I think I'd leave it as a full tunic and not have the slits, but it's gorgeous.

No. Their main argument is that Quentin has done more at a younger age than Jean did and without the PF. This completely ignores Teen Jean whom is canon. Her feat in Generations trumps QQ. Originally Posted by mike7171

Jean was put in the background so they could focus on how Xavier and Moira decided to reshape the world for mutants. Originally Posted by Havok83
Moira has a whole issue devoted to how key she is for Mutants. As Phoenix or even at the levels Jeen displayed, Jean tends to take center stage. Marvel didn’t want that for now because the entire concept of XMen have to rebooted for MCU. Once the reboot is fully here they she can be Phoenix.
