I know Rosenberg deaths were terrible (i wasn't defending him) but i just feel like Hickman killing everybody (at the moment) doesn't feel much better, but that is just my opinion.

I know this will lead to something crazy but still feel it was a waste of time

It would depend of the result to be honest, if whatever crazy twist is planning is good, it would feel better than anything that Rosenberg did.

I dont get the narration in Jean's inner monologue especially considering she knew Dazzler wasnt dead but in fact was the one that arranged to fake her death



Its also cringe, considering she would go on to be a fierce leader in Red and actually stepped into the role with confidence


I did like Scott acknowledging and giving Jean credit for their win as she led, strategized and executed the plan to save Xavier, the civilians and stop Magneto

I saw on twitter where a fan echoed what we were saying to CB about how the issue had less of an impact because of what Rosenberg did in his Uncanny run and CB made a comment that it was connected. Which Rosenberg pretty much has stated the same thing. Still, all the deaths felt like over kill to me. It was too much that it didn't hold an emotional impact. It was just like "eh, ok".

I did feel bad for Mystique. Her costume was worse than Jean's for a space mission/fight. Her drop out the trap door was missing Looney Tunes music (but I admit her expression was funny).

I am looking forward to the next couple issues to see what happens next.

In light of HOX 4, seems like Rosenberg was aiming for the upcoming hickman run.

I'm not sure how killing off characters for a narrative or thematic purpose isn't already inherently better than Rosenburg's wanton resurrection/slaughter of a multitude of characters "just because".

They serve the same purpose, to tell everybody how "serious and dangerous" the situation is. But the problem is that Hickman's slaugther comes after everybody came back to life and they will probably come back by the next month, they feel empty. I know it will lead to something but doesn't have a great impact on me.
