Nope, Aaron is the one who has denigrated the phoenix mythos the most on the last years, the only god thing he did was Jane Foster
and the disguised Cyclops solos have been a thing long before Hickman

Gail Simone needs to write the X-men, if only to make it less Cyclops centric

The Phoenix can join again with jean but wanting the character wainting in the space until there is a story related with Jean grey doesnt make any sense.

Marvel has tried to do the phoenix without Jean, it just doesn't have any impact without her

She's not particularly a Jean fan but afaik she doesn't have anything against her either.

Teen Jean was powerfull enought without the phoenix to punch Galactus, dont blame Aaron that the writters dont want to feature her as a powerful character that would put her over Cyclops.

Aaron created a lot of female powerful characters while Hickman is the one who transformed the Xmen in Cyclops solo.

I gonna say that his work on Jane Foster was pretty great, it's hard for superhero girlfriends get their own hero journey. He did the reverse Morrison
X-men have been Scott solo since Whedon. Doesn't mean that Hickman have to continue
Both have works more male centric, but i think Aaron probably got a lot better position because of Jane foster

AvX was bad but at least it was still X-Men focused and the one that Phoenix was really after was Hope, who's a redhead and part of the Grey-Summers clan(even if not biologically). Making the Phoenix super involved with Thor, Odin and Avengers/Avengers B.C is worse imo.

The fact that cosmic GOD entity can broken by some Stark toy is PIS. And top of that Phoenix is no longer Jean's continued liked that till Secret Wars then Aaron took over sh&-. Hope is a omega level for sure but she used it only once and then no one cared about her as Phoenix.

But you dont want phoenix mytos , you want the phoenix to be a power up for Jean Grey . Not a character in her own. Like some venom fans wanted Venom as a power up for Eddie brock without voice or personality and once Marvel gave him his own voice and story we have the best Venom run of his story.

? Of course. The Phoenix works best with Jean Grey because it was meant to from its inception. And let's be honest the Phoenix it wasn't a character in its own right until certain writers wanted it to be. Not just a force of nature but an actual character with personalities

Okay? Quire had only possessed the PF in an alternate future

Emma's time with it was fleeting and was only done to reinforce that she was not compatible with it as it was something that belonged to Jean

The Cuckoos held onto dormant fragments. In all these cases, PF latched onto powerful psychics which didnt deviate too much from the mythos established with Jean.

The ceiling didnt break until AvX where it literally was went to anyone with no consistency based on past stories. He and others have since expanded upon that by giving it to several non-X related characters. There is no point of you even mentioning Hickman here as his stuff is more recent and came after AvX

So did Hickman, So did Brubaker, So did Fraction. I think u should count all the co-writers, if u think they are all responsible.
