Well he is. The implication with the Dissassemble's finale was that there was some type of merger to the extent that Nate is using Legion's powers to create this world. They might be in Legion's head with Nate in control, directing the narrative

Maybe it does not have much to do with the thread but do you think Nate will die at the end of the event? Jean and Scott have just come back from the death would be tragic to see die or lose another child (Jean has already seen Nathan die and has lost Rachel) or worse to be themselves who go kill him, maybe they are not too close to Nate but that would be really heartbreaking for both.

They’ve reinforced Jeans relationship with him so I wouldn’t be surprised. He IS dying which is why this story even started. I’m not sure he’ll get a reprieve from that
