Agreed it's a very strange set up.

Ever since Rich returned, nothing has made sense about him.

It's true. It needs sorting. Rich should be Prime, with a Worldmind behind him. Divest the power to a hardcore of trained Corpsmen, then have local planet offices of the depowered schlubs as back up and cannon fodder.

The commander is probably Scott Adsit, that smartass piece of dog poo who took Sam's helmet from him. Which is still a problem - as this implies Rich hasn't actually been taking orders, since if he was, he'd know what happened to Sam and would've done something about it (at least he's sorting it out on his own now - but how will Rich react to Sam's actions?)

Even if this ends up just being a dream and they are both held captive somewhere, this is great. I find it funny Wendell is drinking just fruit juice, though. He's been portrayed as a boy scout, but not THAT much of a boy scout!
