There's no reason to assume that. Hickman doesn't care about love triangles, and his plots usually don't involve that much misdirection. If he all but spelled that Scott and Emma are doing it, it's because they are.

"Cyclops" appeared in Flash forward #2 today (an obvious refetence to him of course) the way he talked with "Jean" was hilarious, it remind me of the 90's animated series, they called each other "beloved"
