This was a sketch I did trying to figure out this AU Cyclops that’s from a more paranormal/supernatural themed marvel universe. It’s one set in the 1920s and 1930s. This Cyclops design is based on the phantom ghost called black shucks or grim and which is sometimes depicted with one eye. This time I tried a partial cowl mask but more based on the wolf skin hats barbarians would wear. I didn’t want him to look like Batman or something but I really wanted the Anubis look. Plus I know how you feel about head covers. Love to know what you guys think so far, I know this is a weird Cyclops. He’d probably look scarier if I drew him fighting zombies.

Cyke as Captain Commander and Magik as a captain made me happy. Her becoming his right hand of sorts during the After AvX days I liked a lot. The **** with the beers though, ya lol.

Me too. I really love their friendship. I also like how they are showing the rectangle being friendly and hinting at more diversity in relationships is pretty daring and cool. Then again I’m not conservative and am pretty open minded. I can understand why some are upset, however I don’t think a little polyamory subtext is going to ruin anything.

It is pretty cool, although, have we decided yet whether the clones are legit? I'm actually struggling to accept that these are the "real" Cyclops and X-Men...

Maybe Hickman is going to explore all of that? What makes consciousness, and if it's analogous to copying computer files - after all, souls exist in the MU, so how does Xavier copy those? Or did I miss that part?
