Yikes, my grammar has gone to ****. Rip
This scene honestly still confuses me since Jean just came from a world where she was lusting after Bishop. But, eh, all you need to know about this run is Rosenbubble had carte blanche to initiate murder, death, kill, Hickman was just gonna phoenix down everyone-- and the readers knew it, too.
Except Ruth. Because, Ruth is a precog fare thee well until the end of the Hickxmen era, my dear adorable Blindfold~~
Let your wallet talk.
Never forget, Cyke fans~ https://twitter.com/i/status/1246248602768486402
Jean had more presence in death than Cyke in Hickman's entire run.
Hickman succeeded where 2010s Marvel didn't: make the X-Men villainous and irrelevant.
Hilariously, the X-Men have now fully embraced mutant supremacy and racism against humans.

The true payback will be for Scott to throw Alex at his exes in a cold, cynical bid to get them all off his back.
It's the jacket/civilian clothing on top of Scott's ridiculous scuba gear.
Based on body language alone, everyone in that picture seems to agree, lol.
"This is starting to sound like a bad comic book plot"
-Spider-man
“Evil is evil...lesser, greater, middling, it's all the same."
-Geralt of Rivia
Missed these the first time around.
Do notice Scott is seemingly trying to keep his hands away in a (not particularly) subtle way. That ribcage grab move is just... too funny, really.
X-Office: "See, we teased the readers so you'd have YEARS of shipping drama material to mine fro..."
Hickman: "Yeah, no, they're becoming swingers so they can screw each other out of each other's system over time. I Have a 'Kill, kill, kill' policy when it comes to shipping drama."
X-Office: "........................"
X-Office: "Yes, sir.
Only Jean andScott became swingers, Wolverine and Emma are fine doing only one person.
Which sadly only perpetuates some of the things people hate about Scott. In these or other relationships writers and editors would just use that as an excuse to screw everything.
Same for Jean I guess.
It is weird Marvel has made Emma very dedicated.
The only two screw ups she had were with Namor under Unit and the Phoenix force influence, she may find him hot but she is not in love.
Wolverine also sleeps around but usually not with many girls at the same time.
I dislike this because when you read these romances at least at the time when they are together Cyclops is pretty dedicated to the point of obsession but then writers/editors break things on horrible ways like with Maddie and Jean and people forget about that dedication (scemma was lucky it was emma who messed up and not hard). He is left with a bad fame thanks to this.

Just because they haven't been shown to be sleeping with other people yet, doesn't mean they won't. Logan in particularly sleeps with 10,000 women in his solo books.
