I dunno, I get the feeling there won't be a whole lot of Scott/Nathan team-ups in the wake of X-Men #2.

I'm guessing that Cyke's way of coping with the inevitable falling out will be to shrug if off, hang out with his ex and ride dinosaurs.

I can't think of a better coping mechanism than hanging out with dinosaurs, to be honest. Really puts all the shite in your life into perspective.

I think you're making way too much of the very vague PR copy on Fallen Angels. I don't think there is any indicator of Cable having a rift in the space of one issue with his fam. I think FA is just utilizing him as a fish out of water/time.

It's all but confirmed, with Emma being in it too. And you should come back, the X-books look very promising, and House of X/Powers of 10 has a case for being the greatest X-men story ever (and it's certainly the biggest).
