Summers family bonding time has the risk of becoming ex-wife bonding time. I fully support you're idea. Actually I would like to see Scott figure out his relationship with Rachel and consistently care and be available for her. I know he's not her real dad, but he's all she's got now with the brother she knew being gone and Jean so frustratingly inconsistent.

Actually I'd prefer Scott rescue her from Ahab's clutches instead of running down mutant menaces. Kid Cable must have told him what happened. The Summers family is so frustrating some times.

Absolutely, yes, have him and his team going after these threats because the ultimate goal is to free Rachel - let her give Ahab the beatdown of a lifetime though.

Scott had a chance with Collen back in the PS IIRC. She's probably capable of taking care of herself, though I'm not sure if she's powerful enough to deal with the stuff the X-Men tangle with on a regular basis. I think they're better options for Scott personally, like Illyana, Emma, Jean or Besty who are all sort of "available" at the moment and have an extensive history with Scott.

I guess I always thought that they had a more simple relationship without the fairy-tale history and expectations that surrounded Jean and Scott.

I think Scott started out as a deeply simple guy who then had to live through deeply complicated circumstances. He's still a plain toast man, but the people around him keep spreading grape jelly on everything.

If those are the reasons then I think it would be fine. She's been an adult a long time now. She's also been pretty consistently in Scott's corner. If anything the biggest argument against it would be that it would be too similar to his relationship with Emma.

I don't need them to rule the MU, but would it kill them to just sit down and talk about their feelings. Okay when I put it like that it probably would kill Scott and Rach. She seems to have inherited her father's aversion to talking about her feelings.
