Ok, ok, I know I've been known to give Cyclops grief over the years, but I actually do like drawing him. I even sometimes find myself wishing that I had his optic blasts, especially when dealing with an intractable superior, or client. Anyway, here's my faux cover for Cyclops as I make my way through all of the 2019 appreciation threads. Whomever can guess where the quote comes from gets an honorary No-Prize from yours truly. Since Scott was dead back when I first started sketching this, it seemed apropos.

Interesting cover and visor design. I have a small feeling as to what that quote is from, but I might be wrong. I myself wouldn't mind a newer visor design for his new costume. Maybe something like his phoenix five visor.

That mask is seriously killing me, lol. I'll never be able to not imagine Basilisk wearing it.

It seems no one knows what a father is and they can not write a nice relationship.

For the sake of fairness, Cable's shtick is pretty much to possess waaayyy more intel (and often prep time) than anyone else and he still somehow almost screws up just about every time. Even the most forgiving parents in the universe would eventually get kinda fed up with it.

Good luck. I did the same. Let me know what you think once you've read the run. I have some verily harsh criticisms of it, but there are definitely some areas where it shines too. The problem with reading it now, is that it very much fits into the place in time when it was written. I think you'll enjoy it best if you binge ANXM first, or its at least fresh in you mind.
