The first few issues were fine/serviceable, but the focus on the x-brats has pretty much killed this thing's already shaky momentum. Heck, at this point, X-Man or Apocalypse doing something crazy/funny/awesome are pretty much the only things most folks kinda look forward to.
Anyway. LMAO at the Uncanny thread.
Sadly the biggest thrill of getting a new Uncanny issue for me is seeing the classic logo after all these years. Gods, it's sexy! The story has been, as others have said, underwhelming but not totally disappointing. This first arc could have been better presented as a 6 issue bi-weekly instead of a 10 issue weekly. That would have cut out the largely repetitive elements of the first 4 issues... but that would have raked in less money in theory.
I'm looking forward to issue #11 to see the buddy cop fun start again with Cyke & Wolvie plus their technologically-infested sidekicks.

I think it's bad, not as bad as people paint it in the discussion threads, but still pretty bad. It's like the whole script and page layouts came ready. And then editorial just told the writers and artists "now re-do this in a way we can pretend it came from your minds but don't deviate from our plan too much". It feels as lifeless as IvX, almost. Nate being the Emma of the event feels natural after 8 issues. At least the art's cool.
