Fun Fact about me: I enjoyed Morrison’s run. Is it blasphemous?
Some people loved it, some people hated it, especially because in many ways it was the last "great" X-Men, mostly for not being riddled with croosovers and being under Morrison creative control (mostly, editiorial didn't let him get away with everything).

For me, i'm a middle ground, i enjoyed some aspects of it, but i wasn't fond of certain direction that he took with the characthers.

The past shapes the person and their self-esteem.After the apocalypse possession , Cyclops started questioning his marriage, love life and his whole life, basically. When he wanted to sexually express himself, he couldn’t get to break the image he had placed on Jean. He thought he was tainted/messed up and she was the ultimate pure girl.

Yup, no relationship drama. Just Cyclops mental state. I promise (:

The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the horrendous art.

AU or something Scott did marry Emma

Was The Best Summers aka Ruby born out of wedlock?
    Rant
Jean really is the worst character in Marvel, isn't she?
    Scemma forever Triangle never.
Scott needs an alpha female like Bettsy.
What woman wouldn't be attracted to Scott? He's 100% alpha male who tells the Avengers to go f*#& themselves.
I want cyclops back free from any ginger women to be his own man.
    Logically..
TeenClops should have lusted for Emma & Cuckoos. Especially Stepford Cuckoos! They're teenage triplet clones of his hottest ex, how could he not be?
    End of rant

True, but it's never explained what Apocalypse did to make Scott question everything. He seemed to regress after Apocalypse's influence. Old insecurities seemed to be brought back up. I feel the lack of exploration on the possession limits the ability to clarify the root of the problem. Was it Scott actually maturing or was it just Apocalypse playing on his insecurities? Personally, I think it's the latter.

For the sake of fairness, pretty much every single x-dude has a Madonna-Whore complex and yet you singled out Cyke with a "lel" thrown in for good measure. Surely you'd concede it kinda looked... not particularly "appreciative"?

    I can't quite figure if that's a joke, a joke or a joke.

Yep. Then Jean... I'm sorry, the Phoenix showed up and killed Emma, lol.

Could be. Heck, PAD didn't even mention Ruby's mother by name. Forget about the relationship status specifics.

He's going to let the moustache grow, take some sword classes with dad and start using an eye-patch. It's uphill until he gets killed by a nameless-buff-muslim dude.

I am not familiar with the artists names. I just remember not enjoying the art.

That is not how I interpreted Scott’s behaviour after the possession. After he was separated, Scott realised that he wasn’t the old him anymore. He felt changed, and he wanted to change but was afraid of losing Jean.
I like the ambiguity of the whole thing actually, because we all get to interpret and analyse how we want. I haven’t had such a long in-depth discussion about a character for a while now. This is dope.

So, that's going to be his new upgraded power. The pornstache... Truth be told, Scott becoming a space pirate for a while wouldn't be so bad. Unless of course he comes across a blonde bounty hunter wearing armor.

True, the ambiguity allows for open discussion. I just find it slightly upsetting that Scott's ptsd never received much attention. Especially due to its large ramifications.

While he might have realized a need for change, I'm not sure it was a great decision to make after spending time with Apocalypse. Those changes couldn't have been for the better, especially with the undertones left at the end of the search for Cyclops. He definitely needed counseling if he thought his life needed changes after advice from an enemy.

Deadshot would envy Scott stache for sure.

Name me another character that has a Madonna-Whore complex?
And btw; I was concluding since the discussion was about Scott not marrying Emma. So why would I say “everyone in the Xmen suffer from Madonna- Whore complex”

    I can't quite figure if that's a joke, a joke or a joke.

Basically everyone but Xavier (oh, Bendis) and Forge back in the 80s? The x-dudes haven't exactly been lining up to marry the "bad girls".

    I’m in total agreement here.

I don’t think it was a great idea but I do believe his feelings and the changes were legit but the way he went about it was the wrong way.
