You aren't derailing the thread - Jean is an important part of Scott, and it's fair to want their history respected.

How do you think Xavier and Scott interactions are going to be?
For all his faults Xavier was the most important paternal figure on Scott's life and he really liked Scott a lot (he inherited him all)
sadly last time they interacted it was under really dificult circunstances and not in the best terms.

How do you guys/girls think everything is going to play?

I might drag certain X-Characters for their treatment of Scott, but that doesn't mean I want their relationships to remain cold - ideally Scott and the X-Men could reunite without all of the constant reminders of "how terrible he was". That being said, I don't think Scott and Xavier are going to be reconciling any time soon.

Except nearly all the examples I mentioned happened before Scott got with Emma. Writers just don't let him have any sort of relationship with a woman, even if it's purely platonic.

Jean and Scott have suffered all the same problems and probably have been deconstructed more than any other relationship on the X-men. The ship is just another victim not the problem.

They've certainly been put through the ringer. While the ship itself isn't the problem, it is the source of the problem - what I mean is that I get the sense that every writer brings their personal baggage/bias into it and isn't properly checked.

Because editors don't seem too worry about keeping things consistent anymore, since Morrison they had been throwing stuff to the wall to see what fits.

And yes they lack it, Marvel editorial has some weird opinions that rarely macth what is actually writen and because writes don't always make research, stuff like this happens.

Bendis, because it represented a real turning point on a character arc that kept the pace until AvX. I love it. It's the symbol of Scott deciding to be something greater than the guy in spandex who beats up robots and criminals.

I'm digging the HoX design, even if it's a repurposed Bendis suit.
