Scott Summers: Cyclops Appreciation 2019

Because editors don't seem too worry about keeping things consistent anymore, since Morrison they had been throwing stuff to the wall to see what fits.

And yes they lack, Marvel editorial has some weird opinions that rarely macth what is actually writen and because writes don't always make research, stuff like this happens.

It's a darn shame. I'll just spend the money I'm saving from not getting monthly books on trade paperbacks that I'm missing.

What do you guys/girls think are Scott's best costumes?
I honestly can't decide which is the absolute best.

I always vote for the original Astonishing suit, although Scott looked good visor-less in the New X-Men jacket.

Bendis, because it represented a real turning point on a character arc that kept the pace until AvX. I love it. It's the symbol of Scott deciding to be something greater than the guy in spandex who beats up robots and criminals.

I'm digging the HoX design, even if it's a repurposed Bendis suit.

If they'd just get rid of the skullcap, this blue suit would be topnotch.

Here is my gift to you all--I have no plans to put out any stories regarding whether Cyclops in that era was right pretty much ever again. As far as I am concerned, the annual was the end of that storyline.

From now on, we can all judge him by his current actions.

In general, while I know it's not liked as much in this forum, Jim Lee's is my favorite. It's the one I grew up with.

I don’t like the post-HoM suit, the gauntlets are too large and the asymmetry doesn’t work for me.

Oddly, I enjoy the asymmetry of the Jim Lee/90’s suit; while it’s not my favorite, I do like it.

Seems pretty clear that once he saw nearly all the fans hated this idea, he just lied. Originally, he said it was going to come up.

Anyway, it's too soon to drop everything, and I trust Hickman will work out. But if it doesn't or he has to leave for some reason, yeah... t's getting harder and harder to take this seriously, and it's clear we have an editor running the line who saw the most important X-man being called evil, wrong, the new Magneto, the Mutant Hitler, etc, for, what, 7 or 8 years now, and actually believed the fans wanted and the books needed more of that.

I still have Immortal Hulk.

Amen, brother. Daredevil is also good, even if not at that level. But the X-line...argh.
