I will say this again I have not read before Morrison so don't give me a explanation that is before that.

Like it or not, there were 38 years of X-Men stories before Morrison's run, and they're still in continuity.

I think about half of the X-Men stories since 1997 have been mediocre to crap, but they're still in continuity. The canon is what it is.

Now if they want to sell me that they are soul mates they need to convince me that they love each other and not some nostalgia for old jott shipper.

Further supporting my theory that a lot of anti-Jott sentiment has little to do with the couple itself and more to do with dislike of Jott shippers.

As for nostalgia, that's only a problem if they just rehash Jott stories that have already been published. There are plenty of new Jott stories to tell, but they don't involve going back to the "will-they-or-won't-they" well again. Moving Scott and Jean forward means picking up where they left off and starting from there.

The newspaper says united nations has given up the search for the X-men, it means they've been gone for a while, thus it'd mean that cyclops returned some time after all the X men disappeared (hopefully)

No, he returned at the end of Extermination(or maybe even before that, as the dialogue implies). And Disassembled takes place after Extermination. He's been back for quite some time, no matter how you look at it.

Alright this timeline is getting ridiculous. We saw Scott looking fully healed at the end of Xtermination. There has to have been time passed from that to Disassembled. What could he have possibly been doing in that time? Its Scott so while I would want him spending time with Wifi, unless more of that time was spent tracking down Rachel, I'm gonna blow a hissy.
