I'm happy and at the same time nervous. It looks like X-men will be the book in which Hickman will focus, he has done an incredible job so far and i guess it is a privilege that he will continue on X-men and probably focus his work on Scott. I'm really intrigued for what plans could he have for this book and curious about this initial line up (it rotates i know but he still put these people here first for some reason).
But even beyond that initial line up, it is curious to see that the main book will be focused on Scott. I don't think Hickman will go for something cheap or cliche. I'm repeating myself but i'm just genuinely excited fo this book. I hope that Scott does cool things but also that he leaves the controversy aside at least for a while.

Scott is one of these characters (the other one being probaby Jean) that have been there since the start of the X-men and it is fascinating to see how he acts and evolves throught the years, he always has a big role on all x-men eras. It is one of the reasons of why i like him and that is something very few other characters have.

AN interesting thing I've seen on other threads is that since other charas will be starring on other books (Wifi in FA, Jean and Logan in XF, Corsair in NM) This would mean that Scott, Rachel, Havok, and Vulcan may be mainstays in the book.

Scott and Rachel getting Father/Daughter time along the lines beyond the first arc and Vulcan getting hopefully non crazy development fighting alognside Scott sounds fun.

You think Hickman will tweak his powers?

I think one of the cool things about Scott is that his mutation is almost a disability that is somewhat useful sometimes.
I wouldn't touch his powers but who knows what hickman would do.

Well more like I'm hoping for it. Mostly Rachel and Vulcan.

But Rachel may go to Maradurs or Xcalibur. And Havok might be in Xfactor.
