Both characters are getting some great stuff recently and in Dawn of X, but it doesn't look like they'll interact any time soon. And to think I was crying for Jott to come back only a few months ago

Nah, it'll probably Cyke picking a different squad per issue. The overlap between issues 1 and 2 will probably be only Scott's children.

It's inevitable as we get closer and closer to the end the cynics will only get louder still I gotta the overall impressions for each issue is still REALLY positive I mean comparing thee weekly issues to something like Disassembled is like night and day.

It was always announced as a rotating cast. Cyclops is probably the lynchpin of the book or at the very least will probably be featured a lot.

I'd love it if he operated like Dan Briggs/Jim Phelps in the first couple seasons of Mission: Impossible, where he was basically mission captain and had to handpick the right X-Men for each issue or story.
