Jean and Maddie became one again during Inferno. Maddie exists because of Jean's DNA and piece of soul. It was a bad idea for her to return even as a psychic construct by X-Man etc Maddie's memories and secrets are buried in Jean's head I suppose.

I'm not trusting Marvel either. If they do more love triangles and cheating again I may drop these books once and for all.
I already have enough drama with Morrison.

It would feel like a total disrespect to the characters, relationships and fans on every level.

Just remember what i told you (hope for the best, get ready for the worst), is all that anyone can do. Although, i personally think that Hickman won't do much with then in a romantic sense, but he also won't try to damaged then. Other writers though....

the big problem would be character assasinating Wolverine, which I don't think they would do. If he had an affair with the wife of Cannonball (she is a shi ar imperial guard member, they have a kid) fans wouldnt take it well.

edit: whatever it is, it wont be something that character assasinates the most popular xmen character
