Technically, it was a Steve Rogers from a different timeline that got superimposed on this timeline and temporarily overwrote the native Steve Rogers, so in that sense, he was real. Of course, that opens its own can of worms as to whether or not alternate timelines or realities count as real, much the same as with clones.

Speaking of clones, who's looking forward to or dreading Miles getting his own Clone Saga?

That's not a clone though, it's an alternate universe counterpart.

Sales figures for August are out:

    #21 - Absolute Carnage: Miles Morales #1 - 53,866
    #58 - Miles Morales: Spider-Man #9 - 31,056

Miles' solo has actually shown growth over the past two months and when you add that every issue so far has also gotten reprintings, that's pretty impressive for the current creative team.

30k by a ninth issue is definitely very stable for the kind of book Miles has.

Somehow I don't expect Ghost Spider to do as well...

That's just the physical sales for the first printing of issue #9 right? It already went into second printing so that may not be the final sales number.

More specifically that evil older Miles is actually the 616 version that went to the revived Ultimate Universe to be with an alternate universe version of his dead wife. He apparently saved Kingpin's life when they were both in prison and played a critical role in helping Fisk rise to power, which is why they're genuine best friends. Kingpin is basically the, Ganke to this evil Miles. This was all covered in Spider-Men II.

I thought the Miles-Kingpin dynamic in Spider-Men II was the best part of the book and their brief exchange in #250 seemed like a natural continuation of that.

616 Miles was a fine character and I'm eager to see what his deal is now that he's back. My only problem with him is that he was the main focus of Spider-Men II, a book that should have focused on our Miles and Peter's relationship.

Miles and Wilson's bromance is what gives Spider-Plural II thiccer thighs than the original Spider-Plural.

They don't give dollar amounts, but Miles #10 made comixologies top 10 selling digital comics list(for this week I guess) at number 10.
