So the backup Future Avengers story in the White Fox comic only featured the kids from that anime and briefly Cap. No Janet and the other members.

That makes sense, as those Avengers probably aren't part of the Japanese team in Earth-616.

Though I don't know why that backup story even exists if they're not actually planning to release that anime in the US?

That's the dumb thing - aren't both Disk Wars and Future Avengers already dubbed? They just haven't been aired in North America or Europe.

True. Covers showing Janet in yellow when they deliberately decided to make her costume red to match Roz. Of course, originally we thought it was the interior art that was wrong, turned out the cover was. Can't fault the writer, penciller, and inker, but the colorists need to get on the same page.

That's not just it though, we've seen the preview pages where she wore yellow too :P
