I know, they do look more like aesthetic application on her face, rather than facial scars. if the artist thought about her scars a little more, he would know that they should look more closely like cable's eye scars, rather than face makeup.

Since her scars are things she psychically masks, i like to think that it's just Rachel psionically trying out different scar looks and makes other people see her scars in different patterns.

I prefer how they last appeared, which after breaking free from Stryfe's control they only appeared when she was powered up. There's no need for her to wear them all the time unless this is Hickman's way of making her wear her mutantdom all the time.

I'd like the scars to be healed, at this point.

YES, I realize it means she'd be identical to every other redhead in a group shot, but that's why I'd keep her punk elements and cut her hair short and stylish. Dying her hair away from "Jean Grey red" and toward something more dramatic like the the fire-hair-trend would be a great way to distinguish her.

Yes. I'd have the scars reappear as her power signature, similar to how Alan Davis draws her.
