I hope the 'everyday person" we see the story through is Betty Dean. She's long overdue for some love. Not familiar with Alan Brennert but he's saying the right things. I did enjoy Jerry Ordway's work on the Invaders oneshot last year.

This is what I was hoping for when this series was announced last year. Glad Marvel, Ross and Busiek came through. Now if we can only get that Namor solo!
You are right on that one, lol. Very excited about this one even though I'm not a fan of Ordway's artwork, he is ok I guess and we are getting Golden Age Namor and Betty Dean! Hoping for that solo series too!

Greg Pak is hyping up Atlantis Attacks on his twitter and today is the last day for preorders! There's some teaser art from the issue there. LINK

I pre-ordered with my LCBS the day I heard about it.

That teaser art looks like Namor is getting some respect, at the very least. The guy running away from the window is hilarious! Let's hope it continues in the actual event.
Namor the Sub-Mariner, Marvel's oldest character, will have been published for 85 years in 2024. So where's my GOOD Namor anniversary ongoing, Marvel?

I'm tentatively very hopeful about this for at least Namor being written IC and unlike the past year with him being crazy we might see more of the old usual Namor!

As I was watching Suicide Squad: Hell to pay, an animated DC movie I found this little nod to Namor as the team was driving down the highway, lol

btw I'm once again mentioning that Marvel's animation dept is sorely lacking a handsome sea king having his own animated movie or show. ):

Marvel Snapshot: The Sub-Mariner is confirmed to be from Betty Dean's pov!!! I'm very happy right now . Link

    Kurt Busiek:
For instance, I called Alan Brennert and said, “Hey, can I get you to write a story from Betty Dean’s point of view, where she and Namor go to Palisades Park after the war? The All-Winners Squad could maybe show up, too.”

    And he said, “Sure!”

Well, since Namor is the collective libido of the Marvel Universe, this would seem to fit well.

The Namor/Emma comm art that Marcio Takara was working on earlier is done! Almost forgot to post it here.

Beautiful drawing. The only reason I could never 'ship' these two, is she mostly seems very amoral to me. I can't see how Namor would like that, unless it was just about the raw XXX.

This is an interesting pairing and very possible with Hickman rumored to write Namor in the X-Men.

Tomorrow is the last Invaders issue. I have enjoyed the series and hope to get some more Invaders down the line. Next we have the Namor special, Tarot and Atlantis Attacks. Not too shabby as far as Namor appearances. Here's some old Alan Davis Invaders illustration.

Who is that little half-naked man with the winged headband on the far right? (I know that is not Bob Frank!)
