Penance form and this is better than what Gen X did by making Penance, her own character post-retcon as she never got any development and 20 years later, I believe there are still unanswered questions to how she was an animated shell with no host. I like the idea of merging them back into one character with Monet being able to control the metamorphosis

While the Penance form made for a great reveal, it seems like a pretty redundant power up to me. Monet is already bulletproof and super-durable in her normal form, so this was basically the equivalent of giving her really sharp knives.

Im with Dante as it does seem redundant but its a nice visual. The only thing I think it really adds is the claws which are more devastating than her fist
