And props to David Kaye for doing a killer impression of Miguel Ferrer. It sounded nothing like Kaye's other characters and I almost thought it was still Ferrer voicing Savage.

I forgot how good a job he had done on that front on the new Stretch Armstrong cartoon.

Forager is so endearing. Generally I enjoyed the teambuilding in the episodes a lot.

    spoilers:
I love how they demonstrated the Light's power when Shiva killed Ocean Master. It sets them up perfectly as the threat of all threats especially in the way that they could easily make it personal very uncomfortably. And the Light's new members are exquisite.
    end of spoilers

And yeah, the playdate was nice. It's great to see the heros as a real community.

I fall in love with YJ more every episode. They just use everything in the DC lore and capitalize on it. Episode 9 just made me smile the whole time.

    Though poor Orm.

He did an incredible job, he sounds spot on. The Vandal episode is probably one of my favorites in the show so far.

I really want a good book or comic about Vandal Savage now.

    He's prolly my favorite villain.

    spoilers:
I'm glad they went with Ultra-Humanite instead of Grodd.

I mean, I love Grodd, but he's pretty overused as far as villainous gorillas go, and Humanite makes sense considering all the genetic stuff going on.
    end of spoilers

Ocean Master really got the short end of the stick in this series.

He's the member of the Light with the least screentime, we barely even got to see him in costume before they kicked him out, spends six years in prison, and then when they finally bring him back:

    spoilers:
Shiva lops his head off in a second.
    end of spoilers

Then again, when you think about what his plan was, he kind of deserved it.

I'm glad that Ultra Humanite can talk now. I remember he was silent in his last appearances.

The funny thing is he is being voice by Greg Weisman, one of the producers of the show (who also did Snapper Carr).

And this is probably the most dialogue Snapper has had in an entire season.

Greg's really stretching his voice credits .

    Ocean Master
end of spoilers but one did .

    Also I loved spoilers:
when Don said "no no down down" and when Amistad said "You got a baby in dah"
    end of spoilers LOVED IT.

The last three episodes were just Epic. And wonderful. And grand.

And I think it highlights why DC Animation does such a better job than DC Live Action or even the comics recently.

The last three episodes weren't as much about trying to tell their own story as they were exploring and enjoying the Characters we love.

I think too many comic book writers come to whatever hero with this idea of a story they are going to write. A story and plot is needed, but in the case of the comics, these characters have had years to develop their own voice. More important than creating an epic story...is remaining true to the characters. I think DC writers have forgotten that recently.
