Maggott Appreciation 2019

Granted, the roster for the X-Men team have become painfully fuzzy and confused as hell in the last 20 years, but I think a new character which TRULY had huge potential to become a fan favourite was Maggott.

I loved his powers, they felt fresh and unique. I loved his appearance and it hurts that they got rid of him from the X-Men.

What do you think about it? Call me crazy, but I find Maggott to be infinitely more interesting than Gambit or the last characters they introduced in the roster. IMHO.

The main X-Men universe (X-Men + Wolverine) has been altered via time travel twice, not just one ("Days of Future Past").
This means that the timeline depicted in "First Class" (1962), "The Wolverine" (2008) and the post-apocalyptic future of "Days of Future Past" (2023) was already a massive divergence from the original, untampered version of history (the X-Men trilogy).

According to my scenario: Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) was a time traveler. He was born several years after the events of "The Last Stand", in the original timeline (X-Men Origins: Wolverine; X-Men; X2; The Last Stand).

I think after today its pretty much official that Maggot is back and alive in 616. He showed up in 2 panels alongside the X-men in Uncanny

Which of his maggotts did he give to the kids (which eventually ended up i Sinister's labs)? He has only one here, but had two in Uncanny 600 scene.

I'm psyched he's back. He was one of my fav new mutants in the 90's.

His return is the only moment I’ve really liked in UXM. It’s, uh, not enough, but it’s very nice regardless.

He should join X-Force, I don't know why, but I think he would do better there, instead of risking being lost in the shuffle again. I know he wasn't super popular, but I liked both him and Marrow.

He was brought back by Selene via Necrosha with only one of his slugs. The other one is still captured somewhere in Mister Sinister’s lair when he gave it to those kids from Neverland.



Most of the other depictions of Maggott post-resurrection have him with only one slug, Uncanny 600 and WatXM 11 were just art errors.
