Never really noticed that until you mentioned it

The R is the most important aspect of the Robin costume to me. Each one is distinct (minus Jason) and fits with the individual. Dick has a solid, bold R that is prominent and on display in bright yellow with a black contrast that helps make it pop. Tim's R is probably the most recognizable, it's the stylized R that is too big for it's background, I see it as Tim stepping into the role not knowing how to fill the void left after Jason's death. Tim's needs to have that same color contrast with a yellow R and black background, it feels more like a homage rather than a conscious decision for "style" like Dick's.

Or that piece of info just wasn’t transmitted efficiently (or at all). That is precisely the sort of detail that slips through the filter when you are trying to get cover art done.

Since we don't know how Tim went from Red Robin back to Robin, maybe Dr. Manhattan had something to do with it. I don't know the time conext of Doomsday Clock, it has to be somewhat arbitraty since the book is perpetually late at this point.

This is the Tec suit. I think Frank made this cover back in the summer and YJ was annouced in Fall. Even gleason didn't have a chance to create character sheets before starting the run. He only made 1 for Tim, Bart and Conner. So I don't think the new suit had time to be spread to the artist team.

Appearing on the cover but not the issue itself is something Tim does, often.

There are comics with Dick, Jason and iirc even Damian driving it, but I can't remember any story where Tim did it.

He did. It would have been near the end of the Robin(pre Red Robin) series when Fabian was writing, he specifically encountered Lynx during that time.

I think this is one of my favorite pieces of art featuring Tim. Its just so representative of who the character is.
