Why haven't any of the Black Male X-men caught on other than Bishop?

They showed her on cover, Why didn't they just say her name in solicits.There is no need to be secretive in the wording if she is on the cover. I doubt it is Kwannon who isn't really the leadership type and kinda only technically qualifies as one of the X-men own.

I’m just saying the guys that write the solicits aren’t that clever or technical. There’s probably a scene where Wolverine is shocked that “Psylocke” attacks him. Captioneers caption.

It is always interesting when a topic pop ups back so we are 4 issues into Krakoa, All the mutants in history available to use and it is still Bishop only black male character who can count on to show up with Sunspot who is slight behind now getting a little more usage. No Asian, Indigenous America, Middle Eastern or Indian male getting an real use either. With Scalphunter and Forge maybe getting some usage in the future.

Other than what has already been said about lame powers, or leeching esque powers (needing someone else to use your power.) They also flat out don't think about them imo. How much diversity is there really in the X-office or any office at marvel comics. The current dawn of X books i think there is one female writer and one male of color.

I would also say sometimes when there are female writers or writers of color i think though they are more conscious of the lack of diversity they don't try too hard themselves to be diverse in their books because they don't want the "stigma" of being that person in an industry that doesn't want to support diversity.

Yeah, fair enough point. Someone like Claremont pushing female, Native American or South Asian (at various points) characters is still just another white guy throwing underrepresented groups a bone.

he has a unique build and hairstyle. he's young and completely unexplored. they could go the James Proudstar route; teach him how to fight (something acrobatic) and master a weapon of some sort (an african blade maybe). he has just as much potential as Armor, imo.

Gateway is used only for transport, more of a plot need than a character

He was depored with the vaccine, but they reversed the vaccine and they are bringing mutants back to life. healers should be priority
