It is just pretty annoying if they have like 4 shows going on at the same time and all have a variation of one and the same archetype.

And it is especially frustrating if the comics version is just way better than the cw Version, I mean just look at Mr. Terrific.

It's so weird to see her in the DCAU style when she never appeared in that universe (well, at least that version didn't) .

Probably to give the lead actor a break. It would be too exhausting to be in every scene, so they do filler scenes with the supporting actors. I can't think of any show where the lead actor is in every scene
for all 22 episodes. With the CW shows it is especially demanding because of all the action scenes.

Another good point. Most series have B and sometimes C plotlines going on, and that's way easier to do with other characters.

Well, you seize a reliable point. In fact, I don't watch all of the arrow verse and that could be the reason. To me, easily Arrow is the proxy for Batman. They have a lot of the same conventions, name-drops and stuff. I think it is an okay show, and to be clear, I'm really waiting for Batwoman.

But whether arrowverse or some other one, versions/archetypes are about the same. The brainy one. The shy one. The aggressive one, etc.

I finally got around to seeing Batman Family Matters, mostly just to see how Batwoman was portrayed in it. Pretty good movie on the whole. Kate was the most like her comic counterpart of the whole cast; she wasn't made dumber or funnier or, unlike in Bad Blood, more of a jerk. She was still fairly serious and even-keeled, and even fought in a similar way.

However, that was kinda it; though what was there was almost entirely correct, she didn't have much depth, even for this kind of movie. But a good portrayal overall, even if it could've been meatier.

Kate will be in Gotham City Monsters #3 (and more, according to Steve Orlando).

Well, Kate and Renee are still going strong in Black Mask #1. That was a relief. But apparently spoilers:
Kate has moved to Atlanta? For some reason?
end of spoilers Not a huge deal, but it's really weird and raises a lot of questions (not difficult ones, just many of them).

Maybe they are trying to give her her own setting away from Batman. Nightwing had Bludhaven. And Coryana didn't exactly work for Kate, so maybe this is the next try at placing her somewhere else.

But it comes out of complete nowhere as far as I can tell. And why Atlanta of all places? Why not North Carolina, if they wanted a southern location? She at least has some sort of ties there.

I'll ask Taylor about it in the morning.
