    Batwoman: Haunted Tides

    A34C5E58-903C-452C-A521-148C47971C7D.jpg

Description: “The complete Haunted Tide story from the New York Times best-selling Batwoman series by acclaimed comic talent J.H Williams III gets collected here for the first time! Batwoman is soon to be a show on the CW, this story is perfect place to start reading more about this strong, fascinating character.

Monsters from myth and legend are preying upon the children of Gotham. La Llorna, "The Weeping Woman", drowns her victims in sorrow... or worse. Batwoman is no stranger to sorrow herself. Estranged from her father, she blames him for the death of her sister - but she blames herself most of all.

Batwoman's mind, body and sould have been battered as never before, but she's emerged from her trials stronger than ever. On a collision course with the mother of monsters, no one - not the GCPD, not the shadowy Department of Extranormal Operation, and not the people who care about her the most - will stop her from seeking justice.

    Collects Batwoman #0-11.”

Amazon release date is now October 15th.

They're making it sound like "Haunted Tide" was the name used for those two arcs collectively. Maybe, but I didn't hear it until this new edition.

It’s also not the complete story.

Doesn’t appear to be. The listings for Essential Editions say it.

Says Greg Capullo is the illustrator. A mistake, or is that what makes this edition new? The previous edition was only in 2017.

Edit: And it's apparently less complete than the 2017 edition. Just get a new series going, DC, geez.

Btw, how accessible is this story, without reading "52" first? I had the impression that the story is not really a good entry point for new readers, due to the strong connection to "52".

The only references to 52 are Kate's stabbing and Renee being the Question. Minor references.

I don't know where you heard that, since Elegy is widely considered the best entry point for Batwoman. It kinda has to be, since all her other stories since then tie back to it.
