Sadly, not really, which is kind of a shame, given their commonalities. Besides the biracial heritage (both have Latina mothers) and black-and-red costumes (Miguel's suit was supposed to be black, but a coloring error made it dark blue and that's what's stuck ever since), there's the fact that both of them were conceived as characters whose attitude toward being Spider-Man and overall depiction were meant to contrast with Peter Parker and his role as Spider-Man, albeit in different ways.

So Into the Spider-Verse post credit scene?

Miguel O’Hara and holographic A.I. partner Lyla,

Was that just a fun one-off nod, to the Shattered Dimensions game, which was somewhat the catalyst for the whole into the spider-verse team-up, then featured : Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man Noir, Ultimate Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099.
So they just wanted to include him as a nod at the end?
And for a great one-time gag! ( can't afford more from Isaac?)

Or was this a legit prep for potential sequels? With Fisk's machine destroyed, setting Miguel and Lyla with a way to dimension jump, and put together the team again. (and more!)?

This would be a great use for him as this Spider-Verse animated U franchise develops.
Also now he has the means to alt-time/dimension jump, and bring the team together again.
I do hope that's how they use him.

Really would love to see (hear) more of them...

Loved the cameo in Spider-Verse. And Miguel voiced by Óscar Isaac Hernández.
If it hopefully becomes more than the one time gag, and was in fact set-up for him becoming an ongoing character, wonder how much likeness they might borrow from Óscar?

Customizers (simple head swap) are on this...

Lol was this really the origin of the costume

So what has Alchemax been up to since the end of the film?

    The set up:

    Lyla : You're a bit late.
Miguel : Can't all be everywhere at once.
Lyla : A little text might have been nice.
Miguel O'Hara : I was gone for less than two hours. What happened?

(so pretty much he was gone for the length of the film we just watched.)

Lyla : The multiverse didn't collapse.
    Miguel : Oh, cool!

Lyla : Don't get too excited, Miguel. It's just a prototype.
    Miguel : Not excited.
Lyla : But you could be the first person to make an autonomous multiverse jump. ...Or the last.
Miguel : Okay, so we're just... gonna roll the dice on this?

I don't know if they'll ever do a new comic bet they would find some non-Peter David to do it and we'd have a fourth Miguel O'hara from 2099 cause that's the year we associate with him

You'd think with his surprise cameo (and actor involved) and ending in Spider-Vese movie, potential set-up for more adventure they'd showcase him more prominently.

    Not mine, nice little collection...

This is sick! I can't afford it at 700$ but the huge Spidey 2099 fan inside me wishes I could.

with that in mind, just how long in-universe has Miguel been spider-man? Has it been over a year? What year is it when Miguel has his latest adventures?
