Looks more and more like the HiX-Men era will just be Utopia cranked up to eleven, not the concept itself but the idea that the New X-Men won't be treated like students anymore. That's what I gathered when he said that the school aspect won't really matter anymore.

Jonathan: HOX and POX aren’t really structured that way in that they’re not really stories about teams or missions. Saying that, they have teams and missions, but it’s not the point.

Going forward, however, I think the idea of ‘teams’ and ‘schools’ and other ‘ways to get things done’ aren’t necessarily the kind of things that we want to hold too tight to.

There’s been a lot of discussion around rogue galleries and, besides Laura, no solo character really has a defined antagonist that matches them. But for the generation as a whole, I’d put:

-Sean Garrison
-Matthew Risman
-O.N.E.
-Donald Pierce

A lot of them overlap with the general X-Men team but those threats were also integral to most of the NXM conflicts. I didn’t know if I should include Magik 2.0 and Danger since they reformed heroes. And the ONE weren’t really villains at first but they butted heads a lot.
