TBH, I don't like this idea that Krakoa can resurrect mutants at will.

Death in comics is already meaningless as it is, and whether we like it or not, the New X-Men have come to be defined by loss. It's what sets them apart from the other mutant generations, and IMO is what makes them more interesting than all of them. They're kids who've been through ****. They've seen and experienced things no young person should ever have to live through, and the ones who were supposed to protect them FAILED. So casually bringing them back like this detracts from this.

"S'okay, Krakoa already churned out his new body."

Agree. That said, give it three to five years, ten years max, and it'll all be retconned, explained away, swept under the rug, etc. Things will go back to normal sooner or later.

But really, I wouldn't mind if they brought back some of the X-kids that got killed off like Wolf Cub. But knowing Marvel they'd just end up wallpaper or cannon fodder again.

Counterpoint: Even before the new status quo Marvel was already doing everything it could to sweep all of that under the rug. If you really don't think Marvel will take advantage of Krakoa to wipe all the rest of that away, then I got a bridge to sell you.

If there are writers and/or editors out there that are jumping over hurdles to erase NXM development, it isn’t like they would’ve stopped if we didn’t get this Krakoa plot. This also is a chance to bring back characters who were done dirty even in the wondrous writing of KYost. For example, Wallflower, who got fridged for Elixir/Wither drama, could actually have a storyline surrounding her problems in her own narrative.

Didnt know she had a name. I thought Loa was her name, not that it matters bc a white girl can be named Alani too. I just googled her and see that she is half white, so I dont think it was too far off an assumption
