TBH, Armor is kind of hard for me to rank with the NXM. While she's part of that generation, she was never REALLY part of the book.

Armor
(Match, Wolf Cub, Trance, Preview, Network, Specter, Dryad)
Prodigy

Ooh, I forgot Wind-Dancer and Onyxx! Adding them in.

Captain, in Order to build a better world, sometimes means tearing the old one down... And that makes enemies.
Surge, Hellion, Prodigy, Pixie,
Mercury, Dust, Gentle
Anole, Rockslide, Armor, Elixir, X-23
It's hard to choose which ones I specifically like more than others, my preferences are constantly changing. So I ranked them in 3 tiers instead based on how much I want to see more of them.
It's probably a case of "absence makes the heart grow fonder" since I used to really like Anole. But if Disassembled and Age of X-Man proved anything, it's that writers have no idea what to do with him
(Match)
1) Hellion
2) Armor
(Trance)
3) Mercury
4) Pixie
5) Surge
6) Anole
(Indra)
(Loa)
(Cuckoos)
7) Dust
8) Elixir
9) Rockslide
10) X-23
11)Prodigy

Armor was there when the New X-Men were formed, and in Messiah Complex with them, so she is one of them for me.
Wind Dancer
Hellion
Anole
Pixie
X-23
Mercury
Surge
Rockslide
Prodigy
Armor

Dust
If we're doing all the kids, but not counting depowered, it would be something like this (but a bit flexible):

6. Bling!
7. Transonic
8. Cuckoos
9. Hellion
10. Ernst
11. Pixie
12. Velocidad
13. Elixir
14. Rockslide
15. Hope Summers
16. Martha Johanson
17. Shark-Girl
18. Idie
19. Goldballs

I think Glob is more of a Rockslide replacement, QQ functions similarly to Hellion. The other characters generally like Rockslide, no one except Ben Deeds likes QQ.
I think Thompson wanted to use Hellion, but an editor suggested she use QQ instead. You can kind of tell from the story because Quentin was basically used as the team telekinetic.
My list, which changes often:
Prodigy
Surge
Pixie
Mercury
Hellion
Dust
Anole - Rockslide
Elixir
Armor
Gentle
X-23
1) Rockslide

3) Hellion
4) Prodigy
5) Mercury
6) Pixie
7) Anole
8) X-23
9) Armor
10) Dust
