Generation X was a fine read, would absolutely give a similarly themed series starring the NXM girls to her. Doubt it would happen though. Strain is doing well in Film/TV, and I wouldn't put a lot of weight into a few tweets.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

I don’t know about that one...didn’t Strain say if it were up to her, she wouldn’t even write a superhero book or one with fights? I liked the characterization she did give Mercury and she clearly had an affinity for the Academy Xers considering how prominent they were in the series. I don’t know, I would prefer seeing an anthology book set on Krakoa with her getting a short story featuring those characters to see what voice she gives them.

from Black Panther & Agents of Wakanda #3. It’s a fever dream/wet dream/hypnotic trancelike coma/alien nap so it ain’t real but interesting who Lan Medina drew in the sequence.
Also X-23 was in Fallen Angels.
