Skottie Young was stomping to write a NXM book for a while (and sorry, but I do think we dodged a bullet there). I think Kris Anka might have, but don't quote me on that; that might just be wishful thinking on my part.

Young misses them so much that he even created his own Pixie to put her in Strange Academy.
It's a shame he couldn't or didn't want to take her from the X-Office. If she's only going to be a support character in Kid Omecable solo, they should have let her go. She could have been the Potter to Illyana's Snape.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Strange Academy was some kind of compromise since Young does love magical stuff but couldn’t do an Academy X-type book.

She read Medusa in that issue. Then Soule came and made her side with Inhumans during IvX even though it was completely out of character.

I hope we do see her back.

Yeah, she joined the Unity Squad specifically because she didn't want to work with Medusa. And siding with the Inhumans would mean opposing Rogue and Cable. Definitely out of character. Anyone with divided loyalties should've stayed out of it. It's hardly surprising that Moon Girl switched sides, working with Forge, and when Mosaic possessed Cyclops, he joined up with his Champions teammate Ms. Marvel as well. They were a third faction (loyal to neither side, just wanting to stop the conflict), and that's where Emily should've been.
