It is better than that bad excuse. I just wish they would have either made the artist re-draw or just given him back flesh and blood hands. Green Lantern hands just reminds me of how no one shows enough care in their work to actually look up how these characters are supposed to look and get it right.

More popular characters can weather a couple years of wonky characterization. For less high-profile ones, though, whatever their last prominent role was becomes the default.

I’m hoping at least his X-Men will be very different from what he did with F4 and the Avengers. The way he talked about working on that vs actually writing about something he enjoyed makes me think he’ll at least put a little something into character work. But since we most likely aren’t getting the school back, I wonder where they’re even gonna be.

Q: If I may ask, any reason Mercury didn't get an introductory caption in The Amazing Nightcrawler #2? And I hope we get to see more of her in the rest of the series.

A: Same reason the rest of the mutants at the club (and Colubrina, who we saw handing out masks) didn't: she's an Easter Egg more than an active driver of the plot. More's the pity. I want an Academy X revival.

So it looks Julian and Nori might get bigger roles, but Cess might just remain a cameo. I thought Age of X-Man would end with everyone collectively snapping out of it and beating Nate’s ass, but it might end with a couple of X-Men beating Nate’s ass and the rest of them remembering their old lives. Crack theory but if for SOME reason TJ survives this event, I want Cess to be her godmother.

Yeah, name draws a blank on the wiki. Colubrina doesn't seem to be an existing character, so I wouldn't call that an easter egg.
