Just...

No one ever asked for Bliss. For anything. Ever. Anywhere. He picked an absurd choice like that on purpose.

A solution to his little problem there? Make the book about Mercury and ...other character...AND Icarus coming back. Maybe they're tied to the thing that brings him back or are part of the team that's there when he comes back. Honestly there's ways to do things they just require some effort and thought.

And "They're not as popular as this other character" is a dumb cop out reason not to use characters.

And belatedly, she's been put on the same level as Mercury and Icarus as a shot against those two. JDW trying to act like they're E-list background characters with no fans which is just wrong.

To further take apart his claims of "They won't sell"...Marvel hasn't tried since Young X-men...and even that was infected with the problem they fail to recognize. Fans say they want a book featuring their favorite teen mutants. Marvel the spits out a book featuring characters no one asked for or wanted (Quentin, Glob, Ink, etc), creates a bunch of newbies that are not the ones people asked for, or makes the book focus on a teacher and if we're lucky then maybe one or two of the characters the fans actually wanted get to appear. Then the book doesn't do well because its not what people asked for. Marvel shrugs and goes "I guess no one wanted a book about the X-teens at all".

Preordered myself. will be nice to have the whole run in larger volumes, although I do have to admit that Magik was the weakest of its run, IMHO.
