Didn't see this. It's kind of hidden in there along with many other things.

Also, the discussion in there still leaves many unanswered questions.

The Young Justice cartoon I get, but a charity comic based on an obscure character that, unfortunately, probably didn't sell that many copies was okay, while a new comic featuring popular characters and done by a star creative team, including a very popular superstar writer, or the sequel to an extremely popular video game featuring every A-list DC character (including Superman and Batman) with the ability to sell MILLIONS of copies, many times over than any Batman comic, at a much higher price point, weren't?

Sadly what happened is the actual comic RELAUNCH hasn't happened.
So what was them trying to properly guide their character in the comic, now people bringing this up, looks like they are withholding the character from the comics. Which isn't the case.
But these things could have resulted in massive amounts of promotion, at least in Static's case, for the upcoming relaunch and garner more interest and more potential readers where there wasn't before.

And again, how were some things okay, like the Young Justice cartoon and the random La Boriqueña comic, but other things, like Injustice 2 and the Young Justice comic by Bendis, weren't?

This is the same problem that occurred during the conception of the New Fifty Two with bringing forth the Wild Storm characters into the wider DCU. They don't belong.
Just curious, in what way do they not "meld" with the DCU? What makes them, especially characters like Static, any different from any other DC character?

Plus, it's not like it's either/or. Milestone characters don't prevent other DC characters from receiving spotlight.

While the main losers in all this are the fans-think of how much MONEY DC & Milestone are losing.

At a time where folks are screaming for black heroes and merchandise. Too bad Marvel is getting all of it.
Like many of their non-colored characters, DC has treated some of their characters of color well, while others they haven't.

This is an issue publishers even outside of the Big 2 struggle with.

It's Milestone who get to pick and choose where (and under what circumstances) their characters appear.

Milestone is free to develop thier characters where they want.
They can (and should) develop a Static movie (animated or live action)themselves or at any studio who wants them, including Marvel if they want it.
    How is this DC/WB fault?
Not quite. IICR, I think McDuffie said somewhere that DC had first rights of refusal over the characters at least published under the original company.
